POSITION: Video Editor/Web Programmer

Ten Broadcasting is currently seeking a video editor/website programmer  to join our company full time. Candidates must have an education history and background in television broadcasting diploma and should be able to show and prove samples of their work.

Video Editor Responsibilities:

-Source all necessary footage for production of promos from out libraries.
-Encoding and closed captioning experience.
-Perform some technical duties as required relating to the maintenance of broadcast servers, playlist creation and equipment diagnostics.
-Have the ability to work on a team where video production may be required in terms of shooting.


Qualifications:

-Must be proficient in the use of editing and compositing software such as Final Cut Pro 5.1, Photoshop, and After Effects.
-An intermediate knowledge of both Windows and Mac OS X Tiger 4.1 or higher operating systems required.
-Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Maya, 3Ds Max, or Cinema 4D an asset.
-Knowledge/experience with 3D content an asset.
-Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule.
-Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
-Ability to adhere to tight deadlines.
-An individual with strong ideas and creative drive.
-Experience producing promos using existing footage preferred.
-Ability to take a project from concept stage through to completion.
-An ability to multi-task and work under pressure while maintaining a professional attitude.

Web Programmer Resonsibilities:

-Capable of understanding business objectives and able to translate business goals into technical design: Creative problem solving is required.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and be adaptable to the demands of all levels and types of production duties.
-Being dedicated to completing work for time-sensitive promotions and events and instilling an atmosphere of professionalism.
-Enterprise level deployment and site management and experience in developing distributed web applications.
-Strong to expert level HTML, CSS, PHP 5 and JS skills.

- Candidate should have their own portfolio website to demonstrate past projects and skill level.
- Candidate should supply code examples they have written and be prepared to discuss them.
